On March 5, ATA proudly represented our members in Washington, DC, as Safety & Training Director Brandon Wood joined the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) Legislative Fly-In.
Brandon met with staff from the offices of Congressman French Hill, Senator John Boozman, and Senator Tom Cotton to advocate for key federal transit priorities. Discussions included:
Sustained funding for public transit
Increasing the federal share of grant funding for small urban and rural transit systems from 50% → 80%
Practical regulatory reforms for small transit systems
These meetings ensure that the voices and needs of ATA members remain part of the national conversation as Congress shapes the future of federal transportation policy.
