January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.  ATA is partnering with Partners Against Trafficking Humans to present a new in-person class, Human Trafficking 101 for Transportation Workers.  This free class is designed to create awareness and teach prevention of human trafficking and sexual abuse, as well as provide transportation workers the knowledge to identify signs of trafficking and sexual abuse.  It includes:

  • What is human trafficking?
  • How are people trafficked?
  • Who are the victims and perpetrators?
  • How to spot victims and perpetrators (red flags and warning signs)
  • How to communicate with victims
  • How to help victims
  • Reporting protocols
  • National Human Trafficking Hotline
  • Arkansas human trafficking and sexual abuse laws

If you have any questions please email Brandon Wood (bwood@arktransit.org) or Rebecca East (reast@arktransit.org), or call our office at 501-372-8900.
